| Welcome to Sunstone Designs Art Jewelry's Home on the web! My name is Barrie, I am a self taught jewelry artist, single Mom and animal lover in Central California. My background is in industrial metals, more specifically commercial and industrial welding. Before I started making jewelry I worked as a rig welder in the Kern county oilfields. Many of my pieces have an industrial feel to them and I am a big fan of pieces that move! Unlike the absolute precision that my welding work required my jewelry pieces don't match; I make them roughly the same size and shape, but each piece is made individually and nothing is measured, it is all 'eyeballed'! I feel that jewelry should be beautiful, functional and above all fun!
